Barry Forshaw is one of the UK’s leading experts on crime fiction and film. His books include Crime Fiction: A Reader’s Guide, the Keating Award-winning Brit Noir (plus Nordic, American, Euro and Historical Noir). Other work: Death in a Cold Climate, British Gothic Cinema, Detective: Crime Uncovered, British Crime Writing: An Encyclopedia (also a Keating winner), Sex and Film and Italian Cinema. He writes for various newspapers, edits Crime Time, and is a regular broadcaster and panellist. He has been Vice Chair of the Crime Writers’ Association, and records and writes extras for Blu-rays in a variety of genres.
